Tell us about your personal style. Where do you get your inspiration?
My personal style is very structured but can also be all over the place. I like to go for the smart/chic look. But then again, I love experimenting with fashion, so my style changes almost every day. I don’t have a signature look but I’m obsessed with blazers, so I do tend to wear them a lot. Running a business and also my styling job means I have to go to a lot of meet ups and meetings, so blazers are a great way to look smart, but laid black. You can pair up a black blazer with literally any outfit. I love that aspect of it. Also, I know you probably hear this all the time, but I don’t really follow trends. But I do follow a lot of blogs like tumblr and also I sometimes check out blogspots like Song of Style and 5inch and Up. But problem is, when I see a look I like, and that sort of inspires me, I tend to forget about it when it actually comes for me to get ready. But I’m seriously thinking of bookmarking stuff, tumblr is a great place to get outfit looks for any occasion.
What are staple pieces in your wardrobe? What are staple pieces you think every girl should have in their closet?
Blazer, chunky necklace, denim shorts and black leggings. I truly believe every girl should have at least one of each item in her closet. Black leggings are lifesavers on days you are not so confident about showing off your legs, also a chunky necklace does wonders for an outfit. It can totally change up a look; taking it from cheap to chic lol.
Who is your fashion icon?
I don’t really have a fashion icon. But there are people that I admire when it comes to fashion. People like Rachel Zoe and Kim Kardashian always pull off great looks.
What inspired you to make a fashion blog?
I’m sooo obsessed with fashion. Seriously, I’m pretty sure it’s a form of illness in my case. So I wanted an outlet to show my interests in fashion and also, some of the work I do, as a wardrobe stylist and fashion editor.
Who takes your pictures?
Whichever of my siblings that’s around at the time. I just kidnap them and shove the camera in their hands.
Which do you prefer blogspot or tumblr? And why?
Oh my gosh, you can’t do that to me. I couldn’t possibly choose one.
What is the future for your blog? Are you planning any fashion collaborations? Designing?
I’m focusing on my styling right now. But I’m definitely looking to expand my blog in the future.
What are you looking to do in fashion? Is it a hobby or future career?
Definitely a career. My work as a stylist is going great so far and I’m really hoping to expand on that and hopefully make it a full time job. Also, I’m the co-founder of the online vintage store www.vinchi.co.uk. Hoping to make it a brand in the nearby future. Fingers crossed.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Top wardrobe stylist and Fashion Director. Watch this space.
What are your top places to shop at?
New Look, H&M, Topshop, River Island, Primark, Select and www.vinchi.co.uk
What’s your favorite color?
I don’t have a favorite color. Boring right? lol
What do you spend most on?
I tend to spend more on shoes.
What do you spend less on?
Accessories like rings and earrings. I’ve got sooo much of them, because I’m a cheapskate when it comes to that lol.
Tell us about where you live.
I’ve lived in Essex almost all my life. I’ve moved areas, but still based in Essex. But I’m always in London for styling jobs and modeling jobs, etc. Also, I love being in London, Essex is a great place to live if you prefer the quiet life. But London is where fashion reigns.
Anything else you’d like readers to know about you.
I’m originally West African Nigerian to be exact. But for some reason no one and I mean no one ever believes me. Apparently I don’t look Nigerian whatever that means lol.
What are you passionate about?
Fashion, family and my religion. All are very important to me.
Where would you like to visit/live in the future?
I would really love to travel the world. See other places and culture. It would be an amazing experience and I’ve definitely got that on my to-do list before I die.
What can’t you live without?
A mirror. Lol It would be torture if I can’t check out my outfit before I leave the house.
